Gaia, Pachamama, known by many names, is a, living entity., made of communities of many species, just as our own communities are made of many people and our own bodies made of many cells and microorganisms. We are a part of Earth and Earth is made up of its many parts and systems: flora, animals, minerals, microbes. Tending Earth is tending ourselves.

  • REGENERATION

    Regenerative care of the earth creates resilient sustainable edible ecosystems and native restoration, based on the patterns of nature.

    Overlapping schools of thought incorporate Indigenous wisdom and other ways fo knowing to create systems of regenerative earth care including Permaculture, Agroforestry and Syntropic Agriculture.

  • EARTH SCULPTING

    Earth formation includes the sculpting of earth to create gathering spaces, outdoor classrooms, flow of movement through paths and general landscape design using principles of permaculture and feng shui.

  • CERAMICS

    The art of CLAY is a practice of holding earth in the hands and forming it to create vessels for nourishment; for eating and drinking, and also creating sculptural artistic works.

    Pottery is elemental - earth and fire to hold water and food. Atmospheric firing includes techniques in which the atmosphere inside the kiln interacts with the clay, creating unique surface textures and colors.
